Inner West Community Awards Night
Last month I attended the Inner West Community Awards and got a volunteer award for my work on Calligraphy Club! The Inner West is my local community and I'm so honoured to be given this award.
Calligraphy Club started in October 2025 as a way for me to gather community around one of my favourite hobbies! I wanted it to be low cost (free), and let people explore some scripts. You wouldn't necessarily do any finished work but it was an easy entry into playing around with some traditional calligraphy dip pens and ink! It's hosted at the Little Big House in Summer Hill, a volunteer space for all sorts of events (walking groups, morning yoga, improv nights, kids movie afternoons, beer tasting group etc)
If you're interested in joining I tend to open up slots at the end of the month, for 2 months in advance.Â
I've also started adding some calligraphy supplies to my shop in the off-chance anyone who has attended would like to try out some more supplies!
